Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Prepare the Dough
- In a large bowl, mix whole wheat flour and salt. Add water gradually and knead into a soft dough.
- Add a teaspoon of oil or ghee and knead again for 2-3 minutes. Cover and let it rest for 20-30 minutes.
2. Make the Potato Filling
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, green chili, Wabhai Foods Red Chili Powder, Ground Cumin, Amchur Powder, Garam Masala, coriander leaves, and salt. Mix well until the spices are evenly distributed.
3. Stuff the Paratha
- Divide the dough into equal-sized balls and roll each one into a small circle.
- Place a portion of the potato filling in the center and bring the edges of the dough together to seal it.
- Gently flatten the stuffed ball and roll it out into a paratha using a rolling pin.
4. Cook the Paratha
- Heat a tawa or flat skillet over medium heat. Place the rolled paratha on the tawa.
- Cook for 1-2 minutes until bubbles form. Flip and apply ghee or butter on the cooked side.
- Flip again, apply ghee on the other side, and cook until golden brown spots appear on both sides.
5. Serve Hot
- Serve the Aloo Parathas hot with yogurt, pickle, or a dollop of butter.
